LangOptima Ltd provides consulting, systems integration, knowledge graph and training services under separate written agreements. Where you have signed such an agreement with us, it governs those services and takes precedence over these terms.These terms govern your use of this website.

Please read these terms before using this website. They govern your use of langoptima.com, its subdomains and the free tools linked from it (the “Site”). The Site is operated by LangOptima Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16407878, whose registered office is at Bramble Cottage, Castle Road, Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, B95 5LP, United Kingdom (“LangOptima”, “we” or “us”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The version in force when you use the Site applies. A change to these terms does not alter any separate written agreement you have with us.
Our services
(a) Separate agreements: Consulting, systems integration, knowledge graph pilots, workshops, training and our other paid services are provided only under a separate written agreement, such as a proposal, statement of work or services agreement accepted by both parties. Nothing on the Site is an offer capable of acceptance. The scope, fees and terms of any engagement are those set out in that agreement.
(b) Information on the Site: Descriptions of our services, examples, scenarios and figures on the Site are general information to help you understand our work. Scenarios labelled as representative are illustrations, not results for your organization. The Site is not professional advice for your specific situation, so please do not rely on it as such.
(c) Free tools: The calculators and assessments linked from the Site produce estimates from the inputs you provide and the assumptions they state. They are free of charge and for information only, and you remain responsible for any decision you make using them.
Site Content
(a) LangOptima Content: The information and materials on the Site (including text, graphics, audio, video, white papers, research, data sheets and other content), excluding Third Party Content (together, “LangOptima Content”), are owned by or licensed to LangOptima, and LangOptima retains all rights, title and interest in them, including all intellectual property rights. Except as these terms expressly permit, any use of LangOptima Content may infringe copyright and other laws.
(b) Third Party Content: The Site may also contain information and materials provided by third parties, such as our partners (together, “Third Party Content”). Third Party Content belongs to its owner, who retains all rights in it, including all intellectual property rights. Third Party Content may also be subject to that owner's own terms of use and privacy policy.
(c) Limited Site Content License: LangOptima grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to view LangOptima Content and Third Party Content (together, “Site Content”) and to download and print pages from the Site, provided that (i) you do so for your own information or for your organization's internal evaluation of our services, (ii) you do not modify the Site Content or create derivative works from it, (iii) you do not obscure, alter or remove any copyright notice, and (iv) you do not otherwise reproduce, redistribute or publicly display the Site Content. No other use is authorized, and nothing in these terms grants any license under any patent, trademark, copyright or other intellectual property right of LangOptima or any third party.
(d) Trademarks: LangOptima, the LangOptima logo and LangOptima product and service names are trademarks of LangOptima Ltd (“LangOptima Trademarks”), and nothing in these terms grants any right to use them without our prior written consent. Other trademarks, service marks and logos shown on the Site, including those of our partners and clients, belong to their respective owners and may not be used without their prior written consent.
(e) Monitoring and changes: LangOptima may, but is not obliged to, monitor use of the Site and take appropriate action against anyone who uses it in breach of these terms or the law. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the Site at any time.
(f) Copyright concerns: We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, please write to us at edwin.trebels@langoptima.com with details of the material and of your rights in it. We will review your notice promptly and remove material where appropriate.
Your use of the Site
(a) Lawful use: You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You are responsible for any information you send us through the Site, including through our forms.
(b) Information you send us: Please send only information you are entitled to share, and do not send confidential or sensitive personal information through the Site's forms. We handle the personal information you provide as described in our Privacy Policy.
(c) Access: We may suspend or restrict access to all or part of the Site, for example for maintenance or where we believe these terms have been breached.
(d) Prohibited conduct: You agree not to use the Site to (i) send or post anything false, misleading, unlawful or infringing, or anything containing viruses or other harmful code; (ii) impersonate another person; (iii) send unsolicited advertising; or (iv) attempt to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, overload or interfere with the Site, its servers or any connected system or network. Such conduct may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we may report it to the relevant authorities.
(e) Copying the Site: You agree not to copy, scrape, reproduce, resell or build competing products from the Site, the free tools or their underlying content, except as the Limited Site Content License above allows or with our prior written consent.
(f) Links to other websites: The Site may link to websites run by third parties, including our partners. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
(g) Suggestions: If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Site or our services, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.
(h) Your responsibility: To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for any loss LangOptima suffers as a result of your breach of these terms.
Limitation of liability
(a) No warranty: The Site, the Site Content and the free tools are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, LangOptima makes no warranty that they are complete, accurate, suitable for your purpose, uninterrupted or free of errors, and excludes all implied warranties, conditions and other terms.
(b) Limitation of liability: Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law. Subject to that, LangOptima will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, the Site Content or the free tools, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. Liability for our paid services is governed solely by the separate written agreement for those services.
Privacy Policy
LangOptima's Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information when you use the Site or contact us, forms part of these terms.
Notices
We may give you notice by email to the address you have provided or by post. If you have a dispute with LangOptima or wish to send a notice under these terms, please write to LangOptima Ltd, Bramble Cottage, Castle Road, Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, B95 5LP, United Kingdom, and email edwin.trebels@langoptima.com.
General
These terms are the entire agreement between you and LangOptima about your use of the Site. They do not replace any separate written agreement for our services. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in force. A delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. No one other than you and LangOptima has any right to enforce these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from your use of the Site (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
